Head over to Stardust Coffee & Video at 1842 E. Winter Park Road tonight for the weekly Audubon Park Community Market. There Orlando brewer Ron Raike will pour samples of a few different Shipyard Brewing beers for you to try out for free.
The Shipyard presentation is following the recent announcement of the new Shipyard Brewing opening in the former Strollo’s Cucino Due spot at 200 W. Fairbanks Ave. in Winter Park. I got a chance to stop by there last week, and although no construction has taken place yet, there really won’t be a lot that needs to be done as far as decor. The two-story space is huge, although the layout only allows for seating of 65 inside. But the Shipyard representative, Allison Stevens, who I met with said there will be ample outdoors seating as well.
Those of you that have been in Strollo’s know of the beautiful wood work of the space and the large windows that drench the inside with natural light. I loved the open kitchen and the partnership with Big Wheel Provisions will make great use of it. They’ll be handing out free samples of Big Wheel Smoked Paprika and Parmesan Popcorn too.
The weekly Monday market lasts from 6 – 10 p.m. and offers local food from local growers, ranchers, fishermen and chefs. There are also local artists, handicrafters and musicians performing and showing their work. It’s a great night and tonight would be a perfect time to check it out.
